James Keating

Beloved Member

I am proud to be selected as a Founder in Joe's Sharing & Caring Society.
This organization supplies the best information on the Internet and it's FREE!

I am retired from the field of mainframe computer consulting and systems
design. I started in the field in 1958 and enjoyed the work
and its challenges immensely.

I now live in the Detroit, Michigan area where I work on the Internet and
edit for Internet publications (I used to be a technical writer also).

My hobbies are Bible reading, hosting a chat room on
AOL where I minister to mostly
teens, and learning more about the personal computer and
its software. I also have an email ministry where
I pass along various writings.... I do none myself.

Founder Symen

Thank you, Joe, for allowing me to be part of your family and for
giving me the honor of becoming a Founder
in your Caring & Sharing & Loving Society.

One of the things that I liked when I first became
a member was the help you gave me and I got the
best value for my money spent - 0$! Like I said before -
ya got the best newsletter going! I appreciate what
you do for me and the rest of your members.
I enjoy the graphics and especially the Sunday newsletter.
I've got them on all on file.  Best reference material
I have ever received - and it's free!

I live in Barrie, Ontario (in snow country).

I retired from parts and started trucking in August of 94
and the roads haven't been the same since!!! I
consider myself a "paid tourist". I love driving and
meeting new people. Been through most all
of the states and provinces and now I'm on a
dedicated run from to Mansfield, OH hauling parts for the
Honda assembly plant in Alliston and get to go on occasion
to Vermont, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, South Carolina.

I love listening to the Christian radio stations, especially the
ones that play Southern bluegrass gospel.

My favorite hobbies are collecting jokes, articles, stories and sending them on to friends and acquaintances. I just pass
along the little blessings of joy to you that I receive from other
wonderful people in my life.

And lastly, gardening - I love watching flowers grow.

Favorite Quote:
"I am where I am and it's OK because I am where I am and
it's enough."

Many thanks again for the honor of being
a founder - I appreciate it very much.

It is indeed an honor to be asked to become a Founder of this society. I

Can’t recall when I joined... it's that memory thing... but it is certainly

One of the best moves that I have made.

A couple of years ago, you

Indicated that you were running short of material for the newsletter. I

Thought that I could help in some small way
by contributing material that I thought funny.

I am a retired physician living with my wife of 41 years and
our five year Old
German Shepherd, Jenna, on the sunny shores of Lake Simcoe....
Approximately 75 miles north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We enjoy Boating, travel, cooking..... and, of course,
eating! We have three adult Sons. The eldest is a
computer "guru" and works in Toronto. Our middle Child
is a professor at a university in Suwon, South
Korea. The youngest owns a company in Toronto
that designs and manufactures sports clothing.

When I retired about 10 years ago, my son
gave me an old computer. I didn't Even know
how to turn it on! I was concerned that I would
do something

Wrong and break it. I have come
a long way with the help of my children And, of
course, Joe who has helped me out on
numerous occasions. I am Certainly not an expert,
but, I feel very comfortable using a computer and

I am able to help friends solve their computer
problems.

The biggest joy in our lives is our five
grandchildren who range in age
From three to eight.

Thank you Joe for inviting me to be a Founder of
this most wonderful society.

All the best.

I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you, it was quite
a shock, but YES I would love to become a Founder.
My fervent prayer is that I am worthy. I
am joining a fantastic group of Founders of
*Joe's Caring & Sharing Society*, and I want you
and them to be as proud of me as I am of all of you.

My name is Jorja and I live in Huntley, Il. I have been married
to my best friend of 36 years. I am a happy and 'upbeat' person
that loves to laugh. To me, laughter is one of the most beautiful
sounds in the world.

I am handicapped due to a back injury 5 years ago and
must rely on my wonderful husband, family and 2
very special friends to help me out. I have found since
my injury just how many 'truly' wonderful people
are out there that will lend you a hand.

My favorite quote is: "If there is anything better
then to be loved, it is in loving".

I have no children of my own but I have 7 sisters
and 5 brothers  so thanks to them I have
plenty of nieces and nephews to love spoil
and help keep me young.

I love doing all kinds of crafting, crocheting
and reading. I love to learn! That is one of the (many)
reasons that I love JS&CS. I learn something everyday.
I consider it a great honor to become a Founder
of the loving family called Joe's Sharing & Caring Society",
and I will do my best to make all of you proud of me.

Love always

Founder Jorja

Thank you very much. This is a great honor

I live in Southern California in Garden Grove,
right down the street from Disneyland, I have been living
in this house since I was 3, it belonged to my mother
and father my father passed six years ago and after
taking care of my Mom for 10 years she passed a year ago April

Now there is my Husband Dave, My Daughter Amber
and her two kids Joe and Rosie.

I have 3 dogs a Bicon ( Snuggle bunnies ) A Silky Terrier ( Precious Pup )
and a 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier ( Winnie the pooh )
These are my babies. I have 7 cats that my mom left me
and two birds and a Desert turtle, so besides reading
the news letters for our caring society I take care of
my house and all my pets. Another thing that I do is
when family and friends come in from other area's and
from out of state we welcome them into our house and
entertain them, it seems like there is always someone
here who is visiting.

I love sending stuff to you to share with the rest
of our Society so it is a pleasure and an honor to be
made one of the Founders.

The picture above is me and my baby's.

Winnie is on the left Snuggles is in the middle and Precious
is on the right, this is an older picture of me, but I still look the same.

I am so happy that I could Dance

Always thinking of you and the Society!

Nyla Parker

First of all I would like to thank you for this fabulous
opportunity to be a founder at this awesome society.
I have been a member for a couple years and enjoyed
every moment of it.  Joe you are the selfless one!
The number of times you have helped me, as well as
Mike and other members of the society, are priceless to me!
I truly enjoy this society.  I laugh, get angry when
someone picks on you, and cry sometimes when I hear
of our members bad news.  I love all our members
and feel as though I have known them many years as family.
No where else online do you ever find this!
Again thank you for this honor!

I am 49 years old and live in the small town of
Ravenna, Ohio.  I am not married nor do I have
children. I was married for 10 years and have been
divorced since 1990.  I have 2 step daughters and
3 step grand kids whom I rarely
see but we all know
we are there and love each other.
I am not lonely.  I live with my Father since my
Mom passed a year ago.  Also I work in a nursing home.
Most of the time I do medical Records. I have done
that for 13 1/2 Years.  I am also a part time nursing
assistant which I love the most.  It's very rewarding
as I can get some of the patients to smile and I
just eat that up!  They have so little.

As for my hobbies, I love playing with graphics
even though I am just learning, I make quilts
and crochet.  I used to do cross stitch but can't see it
anymore, LOL!  I am a nut about fishing
but haven't had time to go.

There are not many things that I dislike.
I love to laugh but also have a very serious side.
My dislikes are rude people, mean people and animal
haters and prejudiced people.
TO EACH THEIR OWN, GOD MADE US ALL!!

My favorite quote is:  If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Favorite color is blue

Favorite food is pizza, LOL

I am just a plain Jane type girl! Sort of redneck

I love you and Thanks so much again!

I am just bouncing!

Nothing has ever happened to me like this before!

God Bless

 =Meet New Founder Frank=

WOW!!

My pleasure to accept a Foundership, to say the least!

First of all, being born in Pa., Residing in Hamburg for
over 20 years,

Working at Dana Corp for over 34 Years, after being
discharged from the U.S.ARMY.

Married to a sweet woman from Costa Rica of who had just
arrived a few weeks ago to try out the US!

Having been a member of the *Joe’s Sharing and Caring Society*
close to its formation ages ago and being highly thankful of
its existence! Brother Joe has bailed me out on
many occasions! Remembering quite a while back of big problems
with my Computer, with Joe spending over 1 ¾ hrs
with me on the phone straightening the mess out.
I've come a long way since then but not without his help
and others in this fabulous Society!

I'm always telling people of "JC&SS"

Hoping they will join to be able to enrich themselves
with their knowledge of the Computer and the dangers
also associated therewith!

My favorite likes are Camel Cigarettes and Miller High Life!

We have to have some spice in our life!

Main Hobby is Probably my Computer and trying to learn a little
more day by day, as there is so much to learn -- you can never learn
enough!  Although still considering myself a "Newbie" in my
estimation! Considering being asked to be a "Founder" a very high
reward!

Favorite Quote "Kay sa rah--say rah"

spelled correctly?

Thanks again!

New Founder Sharlett

(She is also our In-house Poet!)

I am so proud and happy at having been invited to be a Founder of our
great society!
I never dreamed I would be honored as such!  I've been
a member a couple years now and don't know a lot about
computers but I know much more than most I have talked
with who've had a computer for years longer.
My first association with my dear sweet Joe was a question.
A friend had told me that he could help me with my
computer problem so I emailed him and he fixed whatever
it was.  This man has been such an example in loving and caring to
me ever since.

I have always looked forward to my newsletter and make sure
I have time to thoroughly enjoy it as there are many things
of interest daily.  I personally know a couple of the founders and
think it is just amazing what they do and all so unselfishly sharing
their knowledge.  Thanks to Joe and the Founders and
members, I believe this to be the very best newsletter on the Internet!

I consider myself a writer or I strive to be.  I am a Viet Nam Era
veteran who was a teenager in the late sixties.
I was a flower child and still consider myself as such.
Living here in Central Florida, I am able to grow many different
types of lovely flowers.  I believe in God and love of country
and man.  I also love my little pets, Precious, my little Hemingway
cat and Sweetie, my parakeet, who hangs upside down in his
cage, like a bat.  They show me unconditional love and are teaching me daily
about life.

I enjoy cooking but have to watch myself when I get in the candy, cake,
or pie making mood.  I love sweets and like to bake.  I share
all my goodies with friends and neighbors.  If not I
would weigh a ton and be a walking heart attack
because I do enjoy eating.  I think that goes along with liking to cook.

I write for a few newsletters, The Sermon Illustrator, being
one, also Storytime Tapestry, on which I am a senior writer.
I also have stories and poems in hard copy newsletters and
our local paper.  I recently realized a lifelong dream of having
a book published.  It is a book of poems, called, Sharlett's

Web of Hope
.  It can be purchased online at Amazon,
BartlesandJames.com and publishamerica.com or ordered at your
favorite bookstore.

For years I have wanted to study to become a minister and am
starting an online course this year.  It is actually a
Chaplain course and I feel like I can do some good in this
capacity as God has given me so much.  My life is truly
blessed and I am so blessed to know each and every one of you!

Thanks Joe, for this lovely gift !

Dear Founder Joe!

Such a privilege to be asked to be a Founder!

The newsletter and graphics are awesome.  I believe that the Society's

Web pages and letters are the most beautiful and useful on the net.  The

Members are like many facetted jewels in a grand design of which I am

Proud to be a tiny part.

If I were to tell you anything about myself, it would be to say that I

appreciate, like many others, all that is good and beautiful; and hope

to be able to contribute to the beneficial endeavors of this community.

My first introduction to the newsletter began with a discussion with a

young lady who worked in a computer store about four years ago.  Her

enthusiasm and assured manner convinced me that anything was possible

with these machines (computers).  She highly recommended that I

subscribe to the newsletter.  All questions, big or small, would be

cheerfully answered there.  I have been tinkering ever since then, in an

effort to discover what makes computers tick!  The challenge has become

both a hobby and occasional business.

My other endeavor is working for a local library in a small town east

of Edmonton, Alberta.  Bits, Bytes AND Books!  Occasionally I enjoy spending time
with my daughter, her husband and two Boys ages 4 and 6.
They are a constant source of inspiration.

Perhaps, someday,
when I get my nose out of the computers long enough,
I'll finish renovating the kitchen I tore apart.

My original home was in southern Ontario .... but computer literacy

knows no bounds.  Just imagine .... we are all World citizens!

Thank you again so much!

Happy Surfin'!

Liz from AB, CA

Hi Joe, I am honored, proud, and indeed privileged to be
asked to be a Founder of Joe's Sharing and Caring Society....
I have really enjoyed receiving the Newsletter and the
graphics that we receive. This Newsletter has so much to offer
to others.

I am a helper at heart. I always love to help
others (when I can right now I am home bound)
at church, family, friends, and at my job when I had one.
Just recently I was asked to be a Greeter in the Bible
Study Chat room that I attend daily...Isn't God something
else, you see, I was a Hostess, Usher/Greeter at the
churches I attended and now God put me right back
where He knows I love to be.

I, as you know, am a novice when it comes to doing graphics but
I have so much fun putting them together. I am a part
of a graphics group and they send out challenges for us to do
and this way I am learning how to use the tools on PSP that I have.

The picture that I send you is My Dad and me. My Dad is the best
in the world...You see if God would have asked me
to give Him a description on how I would like my Dad to be...
I could not give Him one because God gave me the very best.

Well I could share lots more but I think that I had better
stop here because I would use up all the WRITE MAILS
that there is...LOL..... God Bless you, Joe

In Jesus' Love,

Rebecca

I am 54 years old. I have 3 sons ages 30..26...
and 14...I love walking in old cemeteries,
crafts, recipes, gardening both flower and
garden (I can what I grow)  making new
friends on the internet, I am very much
family oriented and recently lost my sister to cancer,
as most of you know.

I really love this sight! I have subscribed since
I first got my computer in 2000,, and don't ask me
who recommended it! Perhaps through searches...
Because I do search a lot, that is how I find many links
to send to the society.

And I am and always will remain

I have been self employed for the last 11 years.
And spend most of my working time in the nuclear

I was born in Arnhem, Holland.  I came to Canada in 1953,
growing up in Aurora, Ontario.  I graduated from
high school in ’70 and TS of HK* several times since then.
I have been living in Peterborough,

Founder Symen and I go back to our mutual
interest in motor sports in the ‘70s and ‘80s.  It was
Symen who introduced me to Joe’s group.

I enjoy the “stuff” the Sharing and Caring Society sends
out and the contributions of the members.  There is
always something to learn, something to make you laugh
(or cry) and something to make you think.

Having already thanked Joe for this opportunity to join the ranks of Founders, I would also like to thank others of this great family for their warm wishes and support.

I have made a couple of great friends since I have been a part of Joe's S&CS, I enjoy reading the excellent advice and problem solving solutions given by Joe & Steve, not forgetting the great freebies that are offered and my friend Fred has also been a great help to me directly as well.

OK here we go : I am, as most of you would know by now, an Aussie, I live in beautiful sub-tropical Queensland, only about 40 minutes drive from the very well known Surfers Paradise with it's lovely white sand beach, which stretches for at least 25 miles down the coast.

I am now in my mid 60's & no longer in the public eye, having been an entertainer all my life playing guitar & singing Country - I sang in Viet Nam for the troops for 4 months from Oct 68 to Feb 69 as "Sandy Black"

this was very exciting from my perspective, as I got to meet a lot of very famous name entertainers, including June Carter Cash & Johnny, also Carl Perkins and many others, there was also the feeling of being a little afraid of what could happen, and we had a few close calls.

That era in my life has been replaced with trying out lots of different arts & crafts, & I have been very blessed by God with many talents and abilities, my house is full of oil paintings since I discovered an ability in that area, I got into ceramics for a while, I also have many poems published in the "International Library of Poetry" and was invited to become a "Poet Laureate", I have written 4 children’s short stories, the first 3 of which should become a Trilogy in my opinion, these are as yet unpublished as it is much different than sending in a poem and I have no idea how to go about it and cannot afford to do it privately, I have also written many Gospel songs a number of which are sung frequently in my Church (Pentecostal).

I guess if I had to quote my favorite saying it would be, "In this life there aint no free lunches, someone, somewhere, always pays"

Founder Sylvia

I was born and raised in Alabama, attended
college
for one year, met and married my ex-husband and moved to New Jersey.  I still
live in New Jersey.  I have two children
and four grandchildren.  I will be 67 years old
in August.

I was sort of forced into early retirement
when I lost my
job at age 61.  No doors were opening for me at that age, and no pension
was forthcoming.  I spent my new found
time gardening and I get compliments on my efforts.  I love
to just sit and admire the flowers
and plants.  It has a
calming effect on me.

I love music and when I was younger, I loved
to dance.  I guess you have surmised by this time
that I love sending animations.

This quote caught my attention recently and I saved it.

“With each new dawn, life delivers a package to your Front door rings your doorbell and runs.”

My name is LaVerne Tilson, I live in the Great Smoky
Mountains in Sevier County, TN.

I was a young AF jet pilot's wife when his plane crashed in 1960.

I had one daughter, Linda, who was two years old.  I was brought up in a large family.  My sisters and I more or less brought up our Special Needs brother all our lives.

As my daughter grew she became immensely interested in helping the handicapped.  She is in the field of Special Education and adopted a beautiful young Special Needs girl who is now 24 years old.  That is my only grandchild and I am your typical loving, spoiling grandma.

This has helped me become a very caring, loving, believing individual.  I believe that Faith and Humor are two of the most important things in overcoming the difficulties in life.  Laughter is a marvelous gift.  In addition to those two things, helping others is very important.

Again, I am honored to be invited to become a "Founder" as I respect and enjoy your Caring and Sharing immensely.  I very much admire all those that work with you and I hope I can do just a fraction as well as they do.

Founder LaVerne

Dear Joe and Members;
It would be an honor to be a Founder of this Society.  Here's a little bit of information about myself.
I was born in Salisbury, MD. and am residing in Goodlettsville, TN.  After I graduated from High School, I went into the Air Force.  I have traveled quite a bit and really enjoyed it.
I was stationed at Hancock Fld, AFB where I met my husband in Syracuse, NY.  He was a civilian so therefore he traveled with me wherever I went.  I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after having 17 years in the AF.  Therefore, I was given a medical discharge and considered a Disable Veteran.  I will still get my benefits from the AF at the age of 60 because of having over 15 years in the service.
I have been married for 33 years to a wonderful man and have one lovely and caring daughter who is married and lives in Delaware.  I love knitting and crocheting, although I'm sure how much longer I can do it because of the MS. I enjoy baking and cooking from scratch.
I always love to see what it comes out like.
My favorite books are mystery as well as TV shows.  My favorite quote is from Mother Teresa.  My dislikes are people who are rude to one another and have no passion for anything or anyone.
I love the newsletter and read it everyday.  There are so many wonderful people who are so caring.  I can't thank you enough for asking me to be one of your Founders.  It is such a privilege.
This is the latest picture I have of me in my uniform taken after I retired

My Name is Sue Wale & I live in South Texas.
I am married and have 5 children. They are all grown and live all over Canada and the U.S.A.  My husband and I live in a KOA campground in Mathis, Texas. We live in a 1968 Greyhound bus & travel the country due to my husband's work.
We are not home very often but try to get back every year for Christmas.

I am a Christian, an animal lover and very involved in health. I use to own my own dance and exercise studio as well as doing some promotional work for my friend's modeling agency and a gymnastic studio. I have continued now into Dance Worship, Liturgy through interpretation of movement and signing with flags and ribbons for Jesus.  I love to work with kids of all ages and teach them the importance of exercise and health through dance. Although I am not doing much of that now due to my lifestyle, God has worked out some situations where I've been able to help in this area. Truly a Blessing for me. Traveling and Dance has been my hearts desire since I was a child. God has Blessed me so much with a life style of traveling and He finds a way for me to dance to!

LOVE IN CHRIST
Sue
